Cendrillon

In this reworking of Charles Perrault’s fairy tale, Cinderella misunderstands her mother’s final words and becomes trapped by a promise she has taken too literally. After joining her father’s new family, she must contend with her stepmother, two stepsisters, a prince and an unusual fairy. Joël Pommerat’s play explores grief, memory, time and family relationships through a mixture of seriousness and humour.
