About the work
In this political farce, the fictional Farçaise Republic is in crisis and Raoul Jambon rises with the slogan “Things were better before!”. As his movement gains ground, the Champagne family tries to infiltrate the new power structure and regain control. Emmanuel Darley’s play explores populism, elites and the mechanisms of political language.
