About the work

A musical comedy about songwriter and talent agent Albert Peterson, whose business is thrown into chaos when teenage rock-and-roll star Conrad Birdie is drafted into the army. A publicity stunt sends Birdie to the small town of Sweet Apple, Ohio, where his planned farewell kiss with a fan upends families, romances and the local community.
