About the work
The Brussels comedy Bossemans et Coppenolle by Paul Van Stalle and Joris d’Hanswyck follows two old friends whose children are engaged to marry. Their friendship is strained by the football rivalry between Union Saint-Gilloise and Daring, fuelled by people around them. The play combines misunderstandings, Brussels speech and popular characters such as Madame Chapeau.
