About the work

The comedy Alle lieben Waldemar by Bernd Spehling is set in an unusual shared home for older people. Three female residents encounter Waldemar, a humanoid robot who appears human in a care experiment and responds to their wishes. The play combines comedy of mistaken identities with questions about artificial intelligence, care, autonomy, and human closeness.
