About the work
Paris, 1942. Joseph Haffmann, a Jewish jeweller threatened by the anti-Semitic measures of the Occupation, entrusts his shop to his employee Pierre Vigneau and asks him to hide him in the cellar. Pierre agrees, but imposes an intimate condition that also involves his wife Isabelle. Jean-Philippe Daguerre’s play confronts its characters with fear, desire, survival and moral compromises under the Occupation.
