1001 is a hip-hop theatre text by DIEHELEDING that combines motifs from One Thousand and One Nights with storytelling, spoken word and contemporary hip-hop. The piece centres on the question of which story a person must tell in order to survive and places Scheherazade in a new theatrical context.
