In 1965 bracht de nieuw gevormde V.O.S. haar eerste openluchtproductie, Fuente Ovejuna, in Oisterwijk. Onder regie van Kees Coolen speelde het gezelschap Lope de Vega’s klassieke drama over een gemeenschap die zich gezamenlijk verzet tegen machtsmisbruik.
