About this production
Teignmouth Players stages James Goldman's The Lion in Winter at the Hope Centre in Dawlish as its February 2027 play. Set during Christmas 1183, the drama follows the personal and political conflicts around Henry II, Eleanor of Aquitaine, their children and their guests.
Auditions are open
Open auditions are scheduled for 8 and 13 September 2026 at 19:30 at Victoria Hall in Shaldon, with an additional audition on 16 September at 19:30 at the Methodist Church Hall in Teignmouth. The company states that its auditions are fair and open and that everyone is welcome to attend.
