About this production
Sunriver Stars Community Theater stages The Story of the Velveteen Rabbit, a family musical based on Margery Williams's classic story about a toy rabbit that longs to become real through a child's love. Directed by Megan Steffens with musical direction by Babette Lary, the production plays at Benham Hall at the SHARC in Sunriver from November 5 through 7, 2026.

Sunriver Stars Community Theater is holding auditions for The Story of the Velveteen Rabbit on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at 6:00 PM in Room 208 at Village Properties, 56835 Venture Lane in Sunriver. Roles are available for youth and adults, with most roles open to performers age 8 and older, and first-time performers are welcome. Singing is part of the production, and cast members must be able to commit to rehearsals and the November performances. Registration is available through the production's audition form.
