About this production
Stichting Maniacs Theaterproducties werkte van 2019 tot 2021 aan de familie-muziektheatervoorstelling Over Assepoester, later ook aangeduid als Over Assepoester 2.0. Alexis Bloemen schreef een eigen variant op het Assepoester-verhaal, gesitueerd in het fantasieland Rotterland en opgebouwd met muziek uit bekende en minder bekende musicals. Voorstellingen die voor juni 2020 waren aangekondigd, werden uitgesteld; de podiumproductie is door de coronapandemie uiteindelijk niet uitgevoerd.
