Ter gelegenheid van het 50-jarig bestaan bracht Speelgroep Gelre in 1995 De Barg, Jan Huyskens' dialectvertaling van Molières L'Avare. De jubileumproductie speelde tweemaal voor een bijna uitverkochte Oranjerie in Roermond.
