SODS, the Southend Operatic and Dramatic Society, is an amateur society based in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, founded in 1890 and describing itself as one of the oldest societies in the country. It stages two productions a year at the Palace Theatre in Westcliff-on-Sea.
Membership is required to audition, and the society has about 80 members.
