About this production
Sedlescombe Players stages Simon Beaufoy’s play The Full Monty in spring 2027. Set in Sheffield in the late 1990s, the production follows unemployed steelworkers as they face job loss, financial pressure and questions of pride and identity through an unlikely plan to form a strip act.
Auditions are open
Auditions are scheduled for Sunday 27 September 2026 from 15:00. Roles include one boy actor, six principal or main male roles, and a range of smaller male and female roles. Audition lines do not need to be memorised, but candidates are asked to be familiar with them and may be asked to read with other actors.
