About this production
Phoenix Performing Arts stages Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Into the Woods as a performance workshop for performers ages 12–18 in Akron. The production is directed by Jenna Bates with vocal direction by Julie Strebler and is scheduled for January 2027.

Phoenix Performing Arts is casting performers ages 12–18. Vocal auditions are scheduled for September 15, 2026, from 6:00–9:00 PM in five-minute reserved slots, with callbacks on September 17 from 6:00–8:00 PM. Auditioners may sing one of the provided selections or prepare a 16–32-bar cut in the style of the show with their own accompaniment. The Links section contains the audition reservation route.
