Meer Vreugde Kern bracht in januari 2023 Vrek!, een eigentijdse bewerking van Molières komedie L'Avare. Michelle van Daalhoff herschreef het verhaal rond de gierige Harpagon naar de wereld van een televisieomroep, waar familie, macht, kijkcijfers en geld met elkaar botsen.
