KDO Mechelen bracht in 2009 het toneelstuk Kink in dur Kabel op de planken. In een jubileumterugblik van de vereniging wordt de productie genoemd als een markante voorstelling uit de recente KDO-geschiedenis, met jubilaris Alfons Kikken in een komische rol rond de titelgevende ‘kink’.
