About this production
Candide was een openluchtproductie van Jeugdtheaterschool Zuid-Holland voor Rotterdam Culturele Hoofdstad 2001. Theo Ham regisseerde de opera, met een libretto van Carel Alphenaar en composities van Erik de Reus. Een voorproefje was onderdeel van het openingsprogramma van het culturele hoofdstadjaar; de productie speelde daarna in Rotterdamse buurten.
