About this production
Jeugdtheater Hofplein speelde in seizoen 1999–2000 Assepoester. Tijdens de brand in het Hofpleintheater op 21 juli 1999 gingen de decors en kostuums van de productie verloren. Hofplein bouwde daarna een voormalig gokpaleis aan de Westzeedijk om tot tijdelijk theater, waar Assepoester in december 1999 opnieuw in première ging.
