About this production
The Astronaut's Missing Passport is a 2021 short play written and directed by Denis Burke. After returning from her first space mission during the COVID-19 pandemic, Sadaf loses her passport and becomes trapped in bureaucratic limbo, prompting a story about identity, borders, privatisation and nationalism. Downstage Left first presented the piece as part of Imagine! Belfast Festival of Ideas and Politics 2021.
