Tamara: Sex, Robots and the Limits of Humanity

Downstage Left premiered Tamara: Sex, Robots and the Limits of Humanity, a new play by Irish playwright Denis Burke, in Amsterdam in 2018. Set in a contemporary London flat, the play follows a student, her male housemate and his human-like robot Tamara, using their relationships to explore questions about emotion, ethics and how humans treat artificial beings.
