De Maasstadspelers bracht in 1971 Hommeltje, de Nederlandse opvoering van Félicien Marceaus Franse komedie Le Babour, in het Hofplein Theater in Rotterdam. De vereniging had voor deze productie het eerste opvoeringsrecht voor Nederland verworven.
