About this production
Carlsbad Community Theatre stages Legally Blonde The Musical JR. as its fall 2026 youth production. The production is directed and choreographed by Athena Espinoza with music direction by Erin Vanderhyde, with performances at the AVO Playhouse in Vista.

Auditions are open to performers ages 10–18 on September 12 and 15, 2026. Each session begins with a group dance call followed by individual singing slots. Auditioners prepare a musical-theatre song of under 60 seconds with an accompaniment track and bring a headshot, résumé and completed audition form. Callbacks are scheduled for September 19 for those invited. Advance slot registration is used for the audition sessions.
