Operettevereniging Caecilia bracht in 1941 Florimont, de zwervende zanger, een operette die speciaal voor de vereniging was geschreven. Jan van Alfen schreef de tekst op muziek van Caecilia-dirigent Herman Zaal; Luuk Uipkes vertolkte Florimont en voerde de regie.
