About this production
Bel Canto Oostzaan bracht in 1995 Jacques Offenbachs operette La Grande-Duchesse de Gérolstein, op tekst van Henri Meilhac en Ludovic Halévy en in een Nederlandse vertaling van Joop Fransen. De satirische productie draait om een jonge groothertogin die soldaat Fritz promoveert uit verliefdheid en daarmee de militaire en hofpolitieke verhoudingen ontregelt.
