About this production
Anderson’s Mainstage Theatre stages Something Rotten! in November 2026, directed by Rick Vale. The musical follows playwright brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom as they try to outdo William Shakespeare in Renaissance England and pursue the idea of creating the world’s first musical.
Auditions are open
Auditions are scheduled for Saturday 26 September and Sunday 27 September 2026, from 2:00–5:00 p.m. at The Alley Theatre Company, 923 Jackson Street in Anderson. Auditioners prepare a short comic monologue and 16 measures of an energetic song, followed by a dance assessment.
