The Habits

Putney Theatre Company is casting five parts for The Habits: Jess (female, playing age 15–17, the Dungeon Master; applicants must be over 18), Milo (male, playing age 20–30), Maryn (female, playing age 20–30), Dennis (male, playing age 40–60, speaks Elvish; guitar skills useful but not essential, to be noted on the form) and Bev (female, playing age 40–60, a Metropolitan Police officer). Some characters share brief kisses; an intimacy coordinator will be engaged and concerns can be flagged on the audition form.

Auditions are open to adults aged 18 and over and are held at the Putney Arts Theatre Studio on Sunday 22 November 2026 at 15:00 or Monday 23 November 2026 at 19:00, with recalls if needed on Thursday 26 November at 19:00. Sides are emailed in advance; familiarity is encouraged but memorisation is not required. The audition form must be completed by Saturday 21 November 2026. There is no cost to audition and non-members can audition, but cast members must join the company (£30 a year) and pay a £35 show fee. Rehearsals run mainly at the company's home from the second week of January 2027, usually two to three evenings Monday to Thursday plus Sundays.
