Orange Theatre Company's 2026 production of A Christmas Carol is an original English-language adaptation of Charles Dickens's story, adapted by Hugh Mackay and directed by Marcus Coenen. Set in Marleystadt, a snow-covered 1930s Alpine town, the staging reframes Scrooge's story around commercialised Christmas, community and change.
Self-tape auditions are open until 27 August 2026. Adult applicants submit an introduction, a one-minute monologue performed in two contrasting ways, and a short singing clip for choir or ghost roles; child applicants use the sides provided in the children's form. Live callbacks are scheduled for 6 September 2026 at KIT in Amsterdam. Separate adult and children's application forms are listed in Links.
