2:22 A Ghost Story

Chorley Amateur Dramatic & Operatic Society is casting Danny Robins' supernatural thriller 2:22: A Ghost Story for show week from 22 to 27 February 2027 at Chorley Theatre. The production is directed by Adam G Smith, with Ali Vardy as producer and Matthew Christmas as assistant director.

Roles

• Sam: a sceptical, warm and witty character who is the emotional anchor of the play.
• Jenny: a new mother who doubts herself and resists belief in ghosts.
• Lauren: an American, Sam's former university friend, sharp and outspoken.
• Ben: Lauren's new boyfriend, a confident, working-class character with a past connection to the supernatural.

The four principal roles are for performers who can play characters from the mid-twenties to late thirties; exact age is not important.

Auditions

Auditions take place on Sunday 29 November 2026 from 10:00am, finishing around 1:00pm, in the Chorley Theatre Studio. Auditionees are seen in random groups of four and may work with different groups, as the panel looks at how performers interact. No audition material is specified.

The first table read is on Thursday 3 December, and regular rehearsals are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with occasional Sundays, starting on 14 December. No participation fee is mentioned.
