Der Unheimliche is a mystery play by Frank Thannhäuser based on motifs from John Willard's The Cat and the Canary. After a wealthy family patriarch dies, his relatives gather at his house for the reading of the will. When one heir receives an unexpected advantage, threatening events begin to unfold and suspicion falls on those present.
