Urinetown as presented by Malahide Musical & Dramatic Society (ouvre AIMS dans un nouvel onglet)
This was an excellent production of a deceptively difficult show to get right.
Résumé par Stageify
An AIMS adjudication of Malahide Musical & Dramatic Society's Urinetown, seen on 18 February 2025 at Malahide Community School. The adjudicator praises the comic detail of the direction and its balance of humour with the show's sharper messages, along with the choreography, musical direction, band and lead performances. Criticisms are minor: lower-register lines occasionally lost against the band, one actor who could have leaned further into sleazy comedy, and a money prop needing more attention. Set, lighting, costumes and wigs are commended, and the satirical tone is judged to have been handled very well.
