An AIMS adjudication of Ballinasloe Musical Society's Shrek The Musical, seen on 28 March 2026 at the Town Hall, Ballinasloe. The adjudicator finds a lively, warmly staged show where the humour lands and the message of acceptance stays clear, praising the lead performances, ensemble harmonies, imaginative set, costume and make-up work, energetic direction and choreography, and a rich, balanced band. Criticisms are minor: occasional crew and lighting coordination lapses, some slightly late cues, blackouts that could be softer, and one sign leaning toward pantomime.
