An AIMS adjudication of Nenagh Choral Society's Evita, seen on 26 March 2026 at the Scouts' Hall, Nenagh. A black-and-white film concept gave the production a clear identity, though moving screen imagery sometimes competed with the stage action. Strengths include a powerful choral sound, a standout children's chorus, accessible choreography, effective lighting and sound, and strong leads as Eva and the Mistress. Criticisms centre on ensemble timing, a visually busy design, costumes and hairstyles that were not always cohesive or period-appropriate, and some principal performances that could have had more edge.
