De gidsen is a comedy by Edward Montie about a group of Girl Guides at a summer camp in France. After the girls eat apples from a convent garden and are told the fruit may be poisonous, the leaders try to contain the panic and the camp descends into escalating chaos. The play premiered in 1995 and has since been staged by amateur companies as well.
