Long Beach Playhouse stages Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s Sweeney Todd on its Mainstage, directed by Sean Gray. The production runs from late June through early August 2027 in Long Beach.

Open-call auditions are scheduled for 19 and 20 April 2027 from 19:00 to 21:00 at Long Beach Playhouse, with callbacks by invitation on 21 April from 19:00 to 23:00. Auditioners are seen in person on a first-come, first-served basis and need attend only one open-call night.
