The adjudicator admires the bold reimagining of the show around the Day of the Dead, strong lead performances, a polished band and choir, and striking set, costume and make-up design. Criticisms are that bright colours sometimes diluted the macabre humour and that the ancestors' constant background movement occasionally pulled focus from key dialogue.
