High Tor Players

High Tor Players is an amateur drama group based in Matlock, Derbyshire, which first met in 1937 and has performed almost every year since 1939. It stages two to three productions a year, mainly at the Imperial Rooms in Matlock, and its 2025 production of The Crucible won NODA East Midlands awards.

Newcomers are welcome to take part on stage or in roles such as directing, lighting, sound, stage management, props and front of house, and the group holds auditions and read-throughs for its productions.
