Charlemont Dramatic Society staged the comedy A Bunch of Amateurs in April 2026. The play follows a fading Hollywood action star who is tricked into appearing in a village production of King Lear in Stratford-upon-Avon, with predictably chaotic results.
The production was performed at Gayton Road Community Centre in Birmingham.
This creates much of the comedy, as the realities of amateur theatre are exposed with affectionate wit.
