The Elephant Man is a Dutch musical about Joseph Merrick, who is exhibited as an attraction in Victorian England because of his severe physical deformities. After physician Frederick Treves meets him, Merrick is given shelter at the London Hospital. The story explores prejudice, exploitation, dignity and the relationships that develop as the people around him come to know him as a person.
